Meet the Assistant Director

Bhagwant Kaur breathes, eats and dreams stories. Storytelling flows through her blood. Poetry makes her sing. Language gives her goosebumps. Her passion for storytelling has grown with her from childhood. As an 11  year-old, she used to write stories and take them to school, which her teacher would read to the class. As she grew older, she realised that writing wasn’t just a hobby. It was all she wanted to do. She gained a BA with Honours in Creative Writing at university. During this time, her short stories were published, she started doing live readings, and she won prizes for her work. She went on to study MA Creative Writing, receiving  Distinction for her collection of stories. Her poetry book, Unearthed, is available to buy on Amazon.

After becoming a teacher, she discovered that writing was calling to her more strongly than ever, and left the profession. Alongside doing copyediting work for an independent publishing house, she started to pursue her  own interests and spirituality. She didn’t know where life would take her, but she was open to finding out. Packing her suitcase, Bhagwant travelled to India, with a heart full of hope. She began working on the screenplay of Motherhood: The Journey of Mata Sahib Kaur. As she became more involved in the movie, she adapted to the role of Assistant Director. She is now involved in more than six creative projects with N3P. Her role involves lots of travelling, meeting new people and Bollywood stars, and working in different locations around India. Having watched N3P grow from its humble roots into a blossoming tree, she can’t imagine being anywhere else.
